Making The Dumbest Pick Up Lines Effective

Dear Speed Seduction(R) Student,

Way back before there was an on line dating advice/pick-up girls/seduction community(how is that for loading an article with key words??) there was just Eric Weber's classic book "How To Pick Up Girls".

I remember reading back when I was in college(and still a virgin!) and I found the lines to be ludicrous. I couldn’t even imagine using any of them, much less actually using them as a model for what to say to meet women.

But one thing I've discovered is that you actually CAN say some of the dumbest lines in the world and actually have them work, IF you do something else first.

What is that something else?  Simple: BEFORE you say the idiotic, corny line, say something dull, routine, normal, even boring. If you are standing in line at Starbucks, ask her to please pass you the milk. If she is carrying a handbag, comment on it, matter of factly, without any attempt to be funny or stylish in the comment.Then you pause, look at her with a puzzled look, and DELIVER THE STUPID PICK UP LINE. 

It works like this:

You: Nice shoes

Her: Thanks

You: You aren’t Jamaican, are you?

Her: No

You: Cuz you're jamaican me crazy.

You: Ok, that is the second dumbest thing I've said all week to meet someone I might really like.

Then proceed onward with some of the methods I teach in my Speed Seduction courses

The bottom line here is that effective behaviors require the right sequence and the right ingredients. Dumb pick up lines work, IF they are delivered after the common comment. Check it out for yourself and report back here on how you do.

New Version: How To Arouse Women Video With Commentary

Dear Speed Seduction(R) Students,

I’ve decided to slowly, one at a time, re-open the Introductory Speed Seduction Language Video course on my YouTube channel with a big difference; I am adding my own personal notes and commentary to the recorded videos, using a new YouTube feature.

If you play the video here on this blog, you will see that I have added notes that explain the key concepts I’m teaching, with some good additional instruction and useability to the video.

If I get good feedback here on the blog, I’ll do this with all 12 videos that make up the free course, so make sure you add your comments below. Me, I would appreciate it.

 Dear Speed Seduction(R) Students,

Last night, at about 7:45 PM, my father left this life.

 

I’m sure everyone reading this has different beliefs about what happens at the end of physical life.  I’ll not have that discussion here; when you lose someone like this, in the face of this kind of loss, everyone reaches for their own form of comfort that is graspable for them.

 

I can tell you, from a personal perspective, how I feel this morning, writing this: tired from not sleeping well, emotionally a bit drained, but also relieved.

 

Let me explain a bit about the relief; for the past 5 or 6 years, my family and I have gone through countless experiences of both of our parents(my Mom passed on April 29, 2007) being hospitalized, nearly every time with what seemed to be life-threatening conditions.

 

I’ve been in emergency rooms and intensive care bed-sides so many times, I can actually read a heart monitor pretty accurately.

 

In fact what many of you probably don’t know, is in virtually every circumstance when I’ve had to travel outside of Los Angeles to teach a seminar in the past 5 years, one or both of my parents was in the hospital and I never knew if my return would see the gone or alive.

 

So, selfish as it might seem, I am actually(and sighing as a I write this) relieved that my Dad is finally gone.  Relieved that this long period of constant fear and worry is finally over.

 

Now, one thing I’ve learned is that human emotion is complex. Often, many emotions are experienced at one time as an undifferentiated clump of “something” that tightens us up and blocks our experience.  And the use of having a meditation practice is to be able to sort through, separate out, and experience each one with maximum awareness and minimum grasping.

 

So I will go through the meditation of mourning my Dad.  And find the humor and the peace in it as well as the sorrow and the pain.  Because I really do try to do my best to practice what I preach.  It makes me a better teacher, and my father would have approved of that.

    Fear or Fatigue, Part II: High Energy And Focus Tips



Dear Speed Seduction(R) Student,

In Part I of this series, I talked about how often, what guys think is fear of approaching, is really just, or in large part,  fatigue; a system so low on energy that you just don’t feel like doing much of anything.

 

I also mentioned that taking on new behaviors, thoughts, and ways of thinking requires extra energy; it’s not enough to be operating at “getting by” levels.  When you are tired, it is far more likely that the old ways of thinking and acting and interpreting events will be the default response

 Energy For Clarity

 

Here is another key point: in the beginning, when you are first trying out the skills, often the results you’ll get in the field are confusing. It can be hard to interpret what events mean: did the pattern actually work? Are you succeeding or failing?  Especially when you do 90% of everything right, but miss the last 10% of skill you need to “close the deal”, it can be easy, in a tired state of mind, to misinterpret the entire thing as failure.

 

Bottom line: when first using new ways and new tools, usually the results are ambiguous, and it is up to our clarity and discipline to properly interpret them. Clarity and discipline require a strong state of mind, which in turn is dependent on a supporting physical state.

 

Ok, with all of that introductory stuff out of the way, here are my tips of maximum energy. Please bear in mind I’m not a doctor, not offering medical advice, and always check with your physician before undertaking any kind of regimen involving a change of diet or exercise(Don’t sue me mode now switched to “off”.

 

Tip 1: Keep Your Blood Sugar And Insulin Levels Even: Cut Out Or Cut Down Refined Carbs And Eat More Frequent, Smaller Meals

 

This goes right at the very top of my list. I had no idea-and I mean NO idea-how profoundly my blood sugar and insulin levels effected my mood, emotional state, and over-all sense of well-being and energy.

 

I strongly urge you to get your fasting blood sugar and insulin levels checked. Mine indicated I was border-line diabetic(and a battery of tests I took along with this showed I was a sickening 36% body fat, quite a wake-up call), although subsequently my general practitioner, who has been treating me for 17 years told me that the specialty doctors who ran those tests created their own artificial and bogus values for what is diabetic, to scare me into signing up for their incredibly expensive diet plan.

 

In any case, I do see the value of keeping insulin and blood sugar levels even, and have pretty radically changed my diet.  I’ve cut down my chips, pasta, potatoes, bread and rice to a total of three servings a week. 

Additionally, I now eat between 4-5 smaller meals a day.  By eating about every 3-4 hrs while I’m awake, my hunger for junky snacks has virtually vanished.  I typically balance fat, unrefined carbs, and protein, and it makes a huge(HUGE) difference.  

 

Tip 2: Stay Hydrated

 

I used to wake up in the morning feeling tired, and one of the big differences was simply drinking a lot more water when I woke up, and then with my meals.  The ratio I have is for every cup of coffee I also have 12 ounces of water.  It has made a gigantic difference in my alertness. 

 

And, occasionally, I’ve had a cramping sensation in my legs when I try to sleep. Again, for me, drinking a large glass of water solved the problem.  

 

I realize this sounds like a common sense tip, and it is: yet more people are running around de-hydrated, and it is an incredibly simple thing to address.

 

 Tip 3: Breathing Meditation

 

I won’t get into techniques for breathing meditation; I teach them in my courses and you can find some free videos on the resources section of my website.  But I strongly urge you to do at least 10 minutes of deep breathing exercises/meditations every day.  It will make a giant difference for you; and if you are especially stressed, a breath meditation break, even for 5 minutes, can make a huge difference. Stress can be exhaustive. 

 

Tip 4: Physical Activity Every Day

 

I come from a pretty physically inactive and lazy backround.  But after being told that more than 1/3 of my body is pork, I got up off my ass.  

 

I started pretty slowly; I’d ride my bike every morning about 15 blocks to the Starbucks for morning coffee. 

 

But a funny thing happened; as I rode, I would visualize myself as a more active person, hiking, biking longer distances, doing yoga, etc.  And sure enough, that is more and more the person I am becoming, to the point where I actually plan time in my day to be active. It’s made a big difference.

 

Tip 5: Juicing

 

No, I don’t mean “juicing” as in “steroids”.  I mean I use a Breville juicer to make fresh vegetable juice almost every day. And when I skip a day, I feel the difference. 

 

I had to go through 4 different crap models of juicers from different companies until I met my juicer soul-mate, the Breville.   I usually juice before lunch, or around the 5 PM hour when I used to go for coffee.  Try cucumber, spinach, celery, kale and chard.  But stay away from juicing fruit: way too much sugar, even if it is “natural”.

 

 

 Tip 6:  Cat-Naps

 

I’m  a sleep-a-holic. I love to sleep. And during the day, I’ll doze for 10 minutes. It makes a big difference, even that small amount of sleep.

 

 Tip 7: Regular Massage

 

I’m lucky enough to have a Chinese massage place about 2 miles from my home, and I go 2-3 times a week. This is very vigorous massage, emphasizing pressure points.  Extremely useful, if you can find it.  Any regular massage will do.

 

Tip 8:  20 Minutes A Day Of Insight Meditation

 

This is entirely different from breath meditation or energized breathing. Insight meditation, or “vipassana” is  a remarkable practice, and as taught by my teacher, Shinzen Young, assists me in powerfully removing my every day resistance to the flow of experience in my life.

 

The result? Far less internal friction in my emotional circuitry; the exhaustion that can come from suppressing emotion on the one hand or indulging and dramatizing on the other, gets removed, and far less psychic/mental/emotional energy gets wasted.  Priceless.

 

 Tip 9:  Fix Your Digestion!

 

This one is very crucial if you suffer from any kind of digestive disorder; FIX THE PROBLEM! 

Digestion is one of the most energy-demanding processes the body can undergo; if you’ve got any kind of food intolerance, irritable bowel, etc, you’ve got to get this handled.

 

I’ve suffered on and off with digestive problems for years, and only recently have gotten a handle on it.  On days when my digestive problems show up, my energy levels plummet, my focus goes to hell, and my sarging slips into the toilet. 

 

Here is what I have done to fix the problem, but bear in mind your mileage will vary, that I’m not a doctor, and that I’m not giving medical advice.  

 

  1. Ginger tea, Yogi Tea brand.  This is a unique combination of ginger, peppermint, licorice and a few others thrown into the mix. It is the only brand of ginger tea that I’ve tried that really works and it has a profoundly positive effect for me.  2-3 cups a day when things get bad and at least one cup per day at all times.

 

  1. Lactase supplement.  I’m Eastern European heritage, and Jewish at that, so I’m very lactose intolerant, which means dairy products send my gut into painful places.  So lactase supplements are a must for me.  

 

  1. Digestive Enyzmes-I take huge amounts of these; about 6 capsules with every meal, and then whenever I walk out the door of my house I take a handful. With today’s food virtually having all the enzymes cooked out, these are a must even if you don’t appear to have digestive problems.  I use E3 Live brand(www.E3live.com) but there are cheaper brands at your local health food store.  DigestGold brand is pretty good.

 

  1. HCL supplement.   Many people have digestive disorders because their stomachs don’t produce enough acid.  HCL supplements are incredibly cheap, but made a massive difference for me. 

 

  1. Aloe vera juice.   This one I don’t do regularly, but when I’m having a bad bout, I drink it by the glassful.  I know some people who swear by it, but I think of it as a supplement to the supplements.  Still useful and good to know about.

 

I cannot possibly emphasize strongly enough what a difference fixing my digestive problems has made in my mood, focus, energy levels, and motivation. It is deeply crucial.

 

In sum, often what people think of as fear is just being plain burned out.  Follow these suggestions and you’ll find yourself better functioning through all of life and not just in the pick-up/seduction game.

Real-hate-shun-ships, relationships, and me.

Dear Speed Seduction Students,

Those of you who have joined me on Facebook are giving me some flack over the fact that my profile states I’m “in a relationship”. Many of you think I’m somehow back-peddling on my philosophy of dealing with women.

So let me make it very clear and clear it up: I have no problem, and have never had a problem, with relationships by choice. If you are happy, and you are with a woman because, having lots of choices and lots of options, you choose her, there is zero issue for me.

In my view, it is relationships by default-accidental attractions that have you with a woman who really isn’t whom you want to be with-that turn into real-hate-shun-ships.

Which is not to say that even happy, chosen relationships don’t have their inherently and socially conditioned oppressive elements. There is all sorts of “backround noise” amidst the music; all of the responses, attitudes, behaviors that are not organic, but conditioned by the constant onslaught of popular music, tv, books, magazine, movies and other media.

The ongoing and relentless programming of pop culture around romance, love, courtship and sex-the countless songs and movies about getting together, jealously, breaking up, etc etc-amount to a propaganda machine that would make the most control mad dictators and totalatarian governments blush with embarrassment.

So, in a sense, even when you’ve chosen, out of lots of options, you still haven’t totally chosen.

Having said that, I’m happy. That could change on a dime, and I’m cool with that too.

But leave your old-fart guru alone here, and let me enjoy loving someone I really, truly dig.

What Went Down With Dr. Phil

Dear Speed Seduction(R) Students,

I’ve been getting lots of questions, comments and flak about what went down on my Dr. Phil appearance last Friday.

Let me jump ahead by saying what I find most interesting and most unexpected is not the usual fan-mail from students and hate-mail(many filled with delightful ethnic slurs and anatomically impossible suggestions about fun with my deceased mother) from knuckle-heads, but the fan-mail from women who are eager to learn my seduction secrets to use on men!

In fact, the fan-mail from women is larger in volume than the other mail combined!

So I guess while the women in Dr. Phil’s audience appeared to be disinterested and even appalled, the women watching at home want to know more.

Which, in a sense shouldn’t be that surprising; I think one of the ultimate compliments and endorsements of my work is when women who had been involved with my students write to me and plead to be introduced to more of my students because they have never experienced such good feelings before and want them again!

In any case, what the knuckle-heads seem not to get is that shows like Dr. Phil aren’t just free-for all talk-fests.

Rather, each guest is assigned a potential “role” which is discussed with producers many times, and carefully fleshed out PRIOR to the show being taped.

Which is not to say this shows don’t typically have SOME kind of ambush laying in wait for at least some of the guests, but that notwithstanding, when you go on these shows, you have a general idea of what is going to go down.

In this instance, I was contacted by the producers who wanted to do a show about the dangers of the pick-up and seduction community, and, as the person who has been in it the longest, they wanted me to dish the dirt.

Given that I’ve met all of the big names(shit, next to me, I think they are all SMALL names), and that many of these “gurus” are former students in one sense or the other, I think they made a good casting choice.

The Taping

I arrive to the taping to discover that the first three segments will star a few guys from “The Mystery Method”.

Now, those of you who saw the show may have noticed that the real Mystery-Erik Von Markovic-was nowhere to be seen.

You see, the lovely guys who were on the show presenting themselves as “the Mystery Method” founders are actually involved in a vicious lawsuit with the REAL Mystery, whose name and web domain they have taken.

I certainly don’t have a dog in that fight, which wasn’t actually going on at the time the show was taped in 2006.

But I do have my problems with some of the things taught in MM, no matter whom is doing the teaching, most notably the elements of punishment and control of women, which I find vile, disgusting and completely unnecessary.

As I keep teaching, when you capture and lead a woman’s imagination and emotions, and give her feelings she’s never had before, you don’t need to invalidate her or use any kind of punishment.

The worst “punishment” is simply to stop giving her the good feelings and to go away.

So, as was required by my role, and by my honest opinions, I went after these guys with all of my veteran talk-show skills-they were virgins and I’ve been on dozens and dozens of them.

The Big Edit-I Shut Up Dr. Phil, But You Didn’t See It!

You may have noticed that Dr. Phil kept dogging me about my over-the-top marketing.

What you didn’t see is that, at one point, I interrupted him and said, “Look; I’m just doing with my marketing what your producers do with your preview clips. They take the most titilating parts and edit them to entice people to watch your show instead of change the channel. I’ve got to do the same thing on the internet to keep people from clicking off my site.”

Dr. P actually look startled and didn’t know what to say for about half a second. Then he retorted, “Wait a minute! What you see in those clips is REAL. What you see on this show is REAL!”

At which point I turned my back on him, looked right in the camera and said, “If anyone here in the audience or anyone watching this at home thinks that this show isn’t heavily scripted and edited to manipulate your emotions, welcome to your fantasy world!”

I kinda thought they’d cut it, and sure enough, they proved me right.

The Meaning Of It All


Nothing. Zip. Nada. This whole thing is generating lots of buzz in the blogosphere, some fun and juicy flame-wars, but ultimately, like all talk-shows, it is just a flash in the pan. These shows are watched almost entirely by women in any case, and from a publicity stand-point, it is often the follow-up offers of interviews from more appealing markets in radio and print that pan out best, business-wise.

One bit of advice I will give you-if you ever get a call from a talk-show producer to be on a TV show like Phil or Orca Windbag, etc, be assured they can, do and WILL lie to you about what will go down.

Someone once said that politicians are people who couldn’t cut it as child-molester and who couldn’t get into the Mafia.

TV talk-show producers are people who couldn’t cut it as politicians.

Wonder Woman Kicks My Teeth In!

 Wonder Woman #19 

  Dear Speed Seduction(R) Students,

Many of you know that I am a big comic book fan, and that I love Green Lantern.So it delights me to tell you that your Guru of Getting Some appears-sort of-in this month’s issue of Wonder Woman(issue #19 to be exact). 


The scoop is this: Bernie Chang, who is the inker/artist on the comic, is a fan of mine. Over dinner, he asked if he could use my face as the model for the Green Lantern who battles WW in this issue.

 Of course my answer was a strong "yes",  and so he took several pictures of my face at different angles, and "Voila".  When you see the GL in this issue, that is MY facial structure(or at least Bernie's interpretation).

Pretty cool, and yes, WW kicks GL’s ass.  Now if I could only contact the guy who draws Thor……

My $1000 Put Up Or Shut Up Seduction Community Challenge!

Dear Speed Seduction(R) Students,

It is amazing to me how many whining, snotty key-board jockeys have sent me hate-mail about my recent appearance on the Dr. Phil Show.

If you missed it, you can probably find a link to the video somewhere on line. I don’t care to abuse someone else’s intellectual property, and frankly waste the bandwith.

But if you are at all familiar with the people who hurl shit my way, I get bashed for being cranky, critical of others, knocking the work of other “gurus” and all I can say to that is:

.…………………Bite Me On The Ass, Boys-I SAVE LIVES



Now look: people have advised me to stop criticizing the work of others. That it makes me look fragile or threatened.

Well, no: what I am is pissed off. Pissed off that these phonies and cons are wasting the time and money of guys who need help far beyond what these idiots have even a clue about providing.

I know from training and teaching thousands of men, just how deeply stuck many guys are, and it infuriates me to see some of these pretend teachers mislead, misdirect, and mess up the minds of people who turn to them, often as a last resort.

So I am going to challenge every other so-called “pick-up/seduction” teacher, expert, guru etc out there.

Show me just one-ONE video-of a guy like this student of mine; a formerly suicidal virgin with no social contacts or social skills-that YOUR work turned around, the way my work turned this guy around. At the time of taping this, he’d slept with 16 women, including a lesbian, using Speed Seduction(R).

C’mon. If your stuff works for guys really on the ropes, SHOW ME THE PROOF. I’ll write a check for $1000 to your favorite charity for every video you can show me that meets these conditions.

Not some guys right after a seminar saying how much they enjoyed it.

Not videos of YOU picking up women.

Show me ONE video of a student who was in a condition close to condition of the guy in this video, telling how YOUR work turned HIM around.

Or shut up, and sit down. Or better yet get the hell out of town. Guys need real help. Not your bullshit.
